Keeping them honest!

For those of you out there (you know who you are) who keep sniggering about the alleged number of my UFOs, which are really WIPs, with this post, we begin flashing said objects with a status report. When they are all up (several postings for sure), we will count them and find out if I qualify for the Guinness Book of Records.

Cowlneck tunic in Noro Blossom, my own design. It's actually sewn together and only lacks having it's ends embedded.
Chevron Scarf from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. STR Heavyweight in Amber and Moss Agate on size 7 needles. Wonderful fun project, 2/3 knitted.
Ilga Leja's Lady of the Forest Shawl in a silk/wool from Lotus Blossom. Needs its front edges frogged and reknitted. Ilga wrote me quite kindly with some ideas for fixing it. I cannot recommend more highly her beautiful designs.
Ruana knit in Noro yarns, all it lacks is a few more ends worked in and stitched down.
Wave pattern moebius from Mountain Colors, knit in MC Alpaca...1/3 done. It is my second one and I LOVE the first. And for those who know of my aversion to blue, that's teal.

I have a terrible tendency to finish 99%, then dive into the next project. More soon.

Sniggering? Who's sniggering? :)

I'm sniggering a little, only because I feel UFOs starting to collect here. (Maybe I'll have to drag them out and do another Knitting ADD update.) I try very hard to not have too many projects in action at a time, but with so many patterns and so much gorgeous yarn, it's so, so hard to not get carried away.

I love, love, love the wave pattern moebius that you're working on, but... Is that blue that I see in that picture? (If you want someone to take it off your hands when you're finished, let me know!)

Is that cowl neck the same Noro-project that kept being too large? It's hard to tell size and drape in a chair photo, but it looks scrumptuous.

I love UFOs. Especially the ones that are finished except the ends woven in.

The trouble with YOU sharing your UFOs, Angeluna mia, is that some of the rest of us (those with little will power and a lot of dreams) immediately find space on our own UFO launch pad for a similar item. It only takes one look at a delectable pattern like that chevron wrap to feel the urge coming on...

How often or how recently does a project need to have been worked on to qualify as a WIP? I know, I know, good thing I'm not close enough for you to smack me or give me "the look".

Oh come ALONG Jeri, you know the regulations as well as the rest of us. A WIP remains a WIP as long as the creator thinks about it (a mere flash in the brain will suffice) at intervals up to but not exceeding six months. Actually working on it is not necessary.

(Or am I mixing WIPs up with UFOs? No, surely that was a twelve-month allowable interval? Can someone check the Kashmir Yarn Summit minutes again for me please?)
